Alleged Rogue and Vagabond in Court

Five suspects were recently arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates' Court before Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake on two charges of going armed in public and being rogues and vagabonds.

They are Siray Kujabi, Amadou Drammeh, Malick Othman, Saikounding Bojang and Momodou Kanteh.

According to count one, on the 24th February 2009, at Kanifing Estate, the accused persons were found wandering aimlessly. All pleaded not guilty.

On Count two, Siray Kujabi and Amadou Drammeh on the same day and place were found in possession of a knife and a pair of scissors. Amadou Drammeh pleaded guilty to this count while Siray Kujabi pleaded not guilty.

They were granted court bail in the sum of D1000 each or the provision of one Gambian surety each, who must be in possession of a property of that value.

The case was adjourned to 19th March 2009.
