The fourth prosecution witness (PW4), Yusupha Bohag, recently testified in the trial of Hamadi Bah, Hamat Bah and Abdoulie Kujabi, accused of conspiracy and stealing a motor vehicle, before Magistrate Mbai of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.

Bohag told the court that he is a businessman and recognized the accused persons, adding that he could also recall what happened on 29 May 2015.

He said on that day at around 4 pm, he was coming from his house when he met with police officers, who asked whether he is Yusupha and he replied in the affirmative.

The police came with three men who were in the vehicle, and they further asked him whether the 3rd accused, Abdoulie Kujabi, gave him a vehicle to sell at a car park.

Bohag said he told the police that Kujabi did not give him any vehicle, and he did not know the mark of the vehicle, adding that the officers told him that the mark was Peugeot.

He was later asked by the officers to go with them to Kotu Police Station, where he was further asked whether the 3rd accused gave him any vehicle and he told them that the 3rd accused never gave him any vehicle.

He was then asked to write his statement.

The case was adjourned to 17 August 2015.
