The alleged attempted rape trial involving one Muhammed Kanteh was recently adjourned indefinitely at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court before Principal Magistrate Abeke.

When the case was announced, the state counsel, E. Jaiteh, told the court that they could not trace the whereabouts of the accused person.

He said the office of the DPP had made all efforts to trace the whereabouts of the accused but he is to no avail.

He therefore applied to the court to adjourn the case indefinitely until such a time they would be able to trace the whereabouts of the accused.

The application was granted and the case was adjourned accordingly.
