Camara Wednesday appeared before Magistrate Isatou Janneh of the Brikama
Magistrates’ Court, charged with three counts of assault causing actual bodily
harm, wilful damage to property and stealing.
The particulars of the offence in count one stated that the accused, on 3 September 2014 at Brikama Town Kombo Central in the West Coast Region, wilfully and unlawfully assaulted one Johannes Kaullue, his Swedish girlfriend’s son, by hitting him with a stick on his shoulder, causing him actual bodily harm.
Count two stated that on the same date, month and place he unlawfully damaged the following items: one glass door valued at D300, one florescent light valued at D150, and one mirror valued at D50, being the property of his girlfriend, Annasophie Njai.
Count three alleged that he stole one mobile phone marked I-phone 5 valued at 14, 214 Swedish Kroner equivalent to D86,414, being the property of Johannes Kaullue.
Camara denied the charge and was granted court bail of D20,000 with two Gambian sureties.
