One Nfamara Bojang was recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates' Court before Magistrate Emmanuel Nkea charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm.
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the charge, and was granted a court bail in the sum of D50,000 with a Gambian surety.
According to the particulars of offence, on 13th August 2010 at Tabokoto, Nfamara Bojang willfully and unlawfully assaulted one Pa Sanyang by chopping him with a cutlass on the legs, arms and ear.
The case was adjourned to 12th October 2010 for hearing.
