Following his side's 0-0 draw with Hawks FC in the Week Eleven of the 2009-10 ongoing Gambia Football Association (GFA) First Division League at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium last Sunday, the Head Coach of the Gambia Armed Force, Alagie Sey said he is ready to defend the title.
"We will see different Armed Forces in the second round of the league," he stated.
Head Coach Sey also said that they would prepare well for the second round of the league, noting that it is all about commitment.
He also stated that it is the same team that won the 2008-09 league title, and that there is no doubt that they cannot do it this year.
Ansu Fatty, the acting Head Coach for Hawks FC said his game against Armed Forces was one of their most unfortunate games in the first round of the league.
He also stated that their priority is to stay in the First Division, adding that they will prepare well for the second round of the league.
He further stated that they had chances but could not capitalise on them, noting that luck was not on their side because they had a penalty in the last minutes of the game but could not found the back of the net.
According to him, "it was not the intention of the player to loose the penalty because he knows the difficulties that the team are going through but God decided that he was going to loose the penalty and the game was going to end in a goal less draw."
