The Pipeline community has again witnessed a generous Iftar contribution from the Africell family held at the Pipeline Mosque last Thursday.
This year, Africell has brought along bags of rice, sugar, prayer mats and Quran for the occasion, which were being shared among the Pipeline community members.
Prior to Africell's support, the Pipeline Mosque which was opened in February 1990 has been organising Iftar for its community.
According to Mr. Ebrima Manneh, the Secretary-General of the mosque, they were gratified by Africell's kind gesture.
"Africell has been working with our mosque since its inception," he stated.
Mr. Manneh disclosed that every year, Africell sends in their contributions to their annual Gamo and has been very forthcoming in the funding of the construction of the mosque.
For his part, Africell's Papa Leigh said that they aren't going to stop at the Pipeline Mosque, but will go all the way to the length and breadth of the country.
"We believe in sharing," he said, "this has been going on for the past six years without any publications and this is in line with the Islamic principles."
"To feed the poor is our duty and that means sharing and caring. This time we decided to involve publication, because we want other companies to follow suit," he concluded.
