The head coach of Africell Ousman Janneh has said that his recent defeat to Wallidan in the week six fixtures of the ongoing Gambia Football Association division one league came as a result of poor goal-keeping by his goalkeeper.
According to coach Janneh, his boys have played to best of their ability but the performance of his goalkeeper was very poor that was why his side suffered yet another embarrassing defeat in the hand of Wallidan which leave them on relegation zone with only three points in six games.
He said his team had created numerous goal-scoring opportunities but they failed to make best use of their limited goal-scoring opportunities, whilst Wallidan both goals came from long range shot.
He said further that they would go back to the drawing board to improve on their goal-keeping and striking tactics ahead of their week seven fixtures against Steve Biko in the all-Bakau derby game on Sunday.
“As you all know, Steve Biko and Africell are both struggling on the league table with 3 points each and both sides will fight for a victory in order to move away from relegation zone, which will make the game very tough, “coach Janneh pointed out.
