Seven-year-old Seedia Sanneh is suffering from serious health problems, which, according to his doctors, cannot be treated in the country.
“Seedia Sanneh, a 7-year-old boy, is suffering from easily fatigability, chest pain, dyspnea losing the right and is worse,” said a medical report about the boy issued by the RVTH.
According to the report, Seedia’s ailment cannot be solved in the country’s health facilities and thus recommended overseas treatment for him.
Speaking to our reporter, the mother of the boy, Kaddy Sanyang, said the father of his son passed away recently and she is the only breadwinner of the family.
She also said that at the time her husband passed away he left her with five children whom she is finding very difficult to take care of.
Therefore, she is seeking support from the government, NGOs, the private sector and the general public, so she can take her son for overseas treatment.
Speaking to The Point, a neighbour and family friend Fatoumata Sonko, explained how the family lives in this sympathetic situation.
Madam Sonko says it is very painful to see a young boy suffering from heart problem. She also joins the boy’s mother in appealing to the general public for support in restoring his health.
