A 65-year-old man was on Wednesday arraigned before Magistrate Fatou L. Drammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court on a charge of abduction.
Alieu Bah, who pleaded not guilty to the charge, was granted bail in the sum of D100, 000 with two Gambian sureties.
According to the particulars of the offence, Alieu Bah on or about the 22nd March 2010, at Barra village in North Bank Region, unlawfully abducted a young girl for a period of eight days with intent to have carnal knowledge of her without her consent.
