The National Inter-departmental Sports Association between Immigration Department and the Kanifing Municipal Council is set for Sunday instead of Friday.
This development was disclosed to Pointsport yesterday by the Secretary-General of the association, Saikou B Jarjue. According to him, they have been informed by the management of the Independence Stadium that Friday and Saturday there will be an Inter-School Athletics Competition.
He said that twenty-four teams will participate in the eight edition of the Nisa competition and that the first match of the opening will witness the female final between the Gambia Armed Forces and Immigration Department.
Mr. Jarjue said the aim of the tournament is to bring the workforce together, adding that the new NISA President-elect, the Acting Director General of the Immigration Department, Buba Sagnia will address the participating teams. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Sheriff Gomez will take the official kick-off.
