Thirty- five companies have so far registered for the 20th edition of annual Gambia National Olympic Committee's May Day Mass Sports, slated for April.
This year's celebration is expected to be a weeklong affair, commencing on 27th April 2010 with Women in sports Festival, followed by the newly introduced sports in wrestling, football matches and volleyball competition.
The May Day Mass Sports will once again unearthed the traditional track and field events, such as women 100 meters, 4x 100 relay, Late for Work Race, Musical Chair, Potato Race and Races for Men.
The celebration of the 20th Edition of May Day Mass Sports will culminate with the Annual Sports Banquet and Awards Ceremony on May 8th 2010, where the most outstanding Sports Personality Award, Hall of Fame, GNOC Sports President's Award, Sponsorship for Sports Awards, Posthumous Merit Award and Merit List Awards will be presented.
