The
Gambia Football Federation, GFF, in a media release has announced that with
effect from the 2014-15 football season, any club relegated from the second
division league will henceforth compete in regional leagues of the relevant
club’s region such as Banjul, KM or West Coast Region.
The Triangular Third Division will now only be competed for by the three top clubs of the above regions, added the release.
The regional leagues must ensure that the 3rd division clubs are properly registered in line with the GFF rules and regulations, went on the release, which added that players moving to other clubs must follow the prescribed rules.
In another development, the GFF has said the postponed match between Hawks and Interior on Sunday 11th January 2015 is now rescheduled for Wednesday 21st January 2015 in Banjul at 4.30pm.
The affected clubs will be refunded D3, 000 to cover their transport fares, the release stated.
