It also revealed that among the events to be competed this year will be a 24-km cycling race which will commence from July 22 Square via Stink Corner and MRC road to Brufut. The 15Km run from Shell/Kairaba Traffic Lights to Brufut. The 10km race for female participants which will take off from Brusubi roundabout to Brufut and also a 1.5 Km race for children.
"Trophies, medals, certificates and attractive cash prizes, will be available for winners and participants in this year's event. Participants will also benefit from raffle tickets, which will give them the opportunity to win attractive prizes like a bag of rice among many other prizes," the release added.
It also stated that this year's registration fee is D50.00 and the registration points will be announced later.
The annual Brufut Marathon is aimed at assisting the needy and it is also an avenue for sensitisation programmes.
