2 arraigned for stealing from a motor vehicle

Ebrima Ceesay and Alpha Jallow were recently arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with conspiracy and stealing from a motor vehicle.

Meanwhile, the first accused, Ebrima Ceesay, denied the charges and was granted court bail of D50,000 with a Gambian surety.

The second accused, Alpha Jallow, admitted to the charges and was remanded in custody for the facts of the case to be presented before the court.

The charge sheet read that on 3 November 2011, at Bakau Sanchaba, in the Kanifing Municipality, Ebrima Ceesay and Alpha Jallow jointly conspired to commit a felony, therein stealing.

Count two read that the accused persons jointly stole from a motor vehicle the following: one portable DVD player with its memory card and a

USB Flash Drive
- value unknown.
