SEEK AND FIND

Sep 24, 2025, 11:47 AM | Article By: Galandou Gorre-Ndiaye

King David admonished his son Solomon who was to succeed him as king, thus: "If you seek Him(God), He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever." (1 Chron. 28:9) That will not be your portion!

To all those who diligently seek God, He will reveal Himself. A common Krio adage states that 'if you take time to dissect an ant, you will see its gut.'

God Himself declared: "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." (Jer. 29:13)

If you have not found God yet, you may need to look very closely.

There's no way you will not find Him if you look, because God is everywhere. You find Him in His creation - the birds and the flowers; when you search the Scriptures He is directly speaking to you.

First, you must seek Him - not half-heartedly, but with all your heart. "For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." (Lk.11:10)

Nothing is hidden about God and His kingdom; everything is laid bare before our very eyes. Seek His face!

Yes, it would require a thorough and deliberate search if your desire is to start a sincere relationship with Him. No half-hearted measures will work. You will have to surrender yourself totally to Him and turn your back on your past life when you promoted 'self' against His image.

"Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near." (Isa. 55:6) Remember, nobody else can do this in your place.
