Darboe was speaking at a meeting held at the Gunjur Daycare Centre on Thursday 11th April 2024 regarding the status of the Coastal Town biggest football arena construction project.
‘‘You lack financial power to build pavilions and dressing room at the Gunjur Mini Stadium because building pavilions and dressing room requires millions of dalasi,’’Darboe said.
Darboe appealed to Concern Gunjur Sports Lovers not to stop The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) from working at the Gunjur Mini Stadium.
‘‘Allowed the GFF to continue work at the Gunjur Mini Stadium because it is very expensive for Concern Gunjur Sports Lovers to build pavilions and dressing room at the Coastal Town biggest football arena,’’Darboe pointed out.
He advised Concern Gunjur Sports Lovers to start mobilizing funds to build toilets and other facilities at the Gunjur Mini Stadium, adding that building pavilions and dressing room requires huge amount of money.
‘‘Gunjur lack financial power to build pavilions and dressing room at the Gunjur Mini Stadium because building pavilions and dressing room are very expensive,’’ Darboe said.
Meanwhile, Concern Gunjur Sports Lovers wanted to stop the GFF from working at the Gunjur Nyamina Mini Stadium due to slow pace of work at the Coastal Town biggest football arena.
