
The crown was the first for Bakoteh Upper and Senior Secondary School after bagging 365 points. They received gold medals and a cash price of D100, 000.
Runners-up Charles Jaw Senior Secondary School received silver medals and a cash price of D50,000 while St Michael Senior Secondary School who finished third place received bronze medals and a cash amount of D25,000.
In the Upper Basic School category, Latrikunda Sabiji Upper Basic School alias “Plasas” received gold medals and a cash price of D50, 000 as winners. The Latrikunda-based school won the national inter-schools athletics championship for the fifth time in a row.
Runners-up Barra/Essau Upper Basic School got silver medals and a cash amount of D25, 000 while St Martin’s Upper Basic Cycle received bronze medals and cash price of D15, 000 as third place occupants.
