Elite Utd forced to 10th draw in 2nd Tier

Elite United FC were forced to their tenth draw of the league season after their barren goalless draw against Unique Global FC in their week-20 fixture of the 2023-2024 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League played at the Serrekunda East Mini-Stadium on Sunday.

Both teams came into the match with the intention of bagging the maximum points.

Elite United, who started the game very well, came for the maximum points to improve their position on the Second Tier table but the match ended goalless.

Elite United now conceded their 10th draw of the league, while Unique Global FC conceded their eighth draw of the league season.

Elite United overall collected six triumphs, 10 draws and four defeats in 20 matches.

Unique Global FC, former PSV Wellingara overall gathered four victories, eight draws and eight defeats in 20 league games.

The draw earns Elite United 7th position on the league table with 28 points, leveling with Wagadu FC.

Unique Global FC sit 14th position on the league table with 20 points in 20 league outings, leveling with Jam City and Serrekunda United respectively.
