Coach Janneh was speaking to journalists shortly after their final league match against BST Galaxy at the Bakau Mini Stadium.
‘‘I do not know about backing or favouritism and therefore we approached and played all matches the same way in the entire season,’’ coach Janneh said.
According to him, they began the league season very brightly but added that they could not maintain their stunning performance as league matches unfold.
‘‘I can say it was our own fault. We have to blame ourselves,” he pointed out.
‘‘We won certain games and lost others because of our own mistakes,’’ coach Janneh said.
He said they would go back to the drawing board and rectify their mistakes before the commencement of the 2023/2024 league season.
He expressed optimism that things will be different next year.
“We came here to prove to people that we can play football.’’
He described this season as good for them (7th position with 52 points), saying last season they finished 8th position on the league table with 49 points.
He also expressed optimism that his side could secure promotion to the First Division League next season.
