Over the past five years the Gambia has registered massive growth in football with the emergence of football academics across the Smiling Coast.
The gesture is part of the financial service’s corporate social responsibility.
The materials donated included training cones, footballs and jerseys, among others.
Ebrima Bah, general manager of AFIA Financial Services, said the government cannot do it all alone. He urged beneficiaries to make good use of the items.
Abdurrahman Bah, public relations officer and coordinator of the SIFA, expressed delight and appreciation to AFIA Financial Services for rendering assistance to his boys.
Ebrima M. Bah, an accountant officer, underscored the significance of the mutual relationship.
Ismaila Keita, vice captain of SIFA, thanked the financial service provider for their timely assistance. He called on his fellow footballers to be disciplined, show commitment and work hard towards their carers to be able to achieve their dreams of becoming professional footballers.
SIFA was established in 2017 with the goal of transforming young players into professional footballers.
