In a well attended final at the Box Bar Mini Stadium watched by the GFF President Lamin Kaba Bajo, Busumbala put their noses in front 19th minutes after the start when Tujereng goalkeeper Saraney Jammeh spilled a shot for Abubacarr Sanneh to fire home the rebound leading into the break.
Tujereng resumed with fresh legs and things paid off for them in the 77th minutes when Ebrima Marena swept home from a beautiful set piece to equal the scoring 1-1.
The Busumbala based club saw their coach, Lamin Chatty, sent off for a second booking and moments before was their penalty claimed frowned against by the referee.
As nothing separated the two sides, the West Coast Region Football Association thus agreed to replay the hotly contested final to a later date in order to determine the winner that will represent the region at the Triangular phase for the second tier men's Competition of the national League.
The West Coast Region Third Division accumulated 24 Teams of two groups. Registration was made free to all the participating teams thanks to the support from the Gambia Football Federation.
The final also saw the Regional female team that represented the region at the National Youth Conference and Festival (NayConf) been awarded certificate of appreciation for their outstanding performance in the biennial competition.
The final was graced by WCRFA President Bakary Bojang and Executive Committee Members of the WCRFA, GFF Finance Director Mr Kemo Ceesay and a section of local dignitaries and fans across the West Coast Region and beyond.
