Vice Chancellor tourney: UTGSU fines EDUSA for boycotting match

The University of The Gambia Students’ Union (UTGSU) has fined Education Students’ Association (EDUSA) team D2,000 after failing to turn up for their match against Journalism Students’ Association (JSA) in the on-going University of The Gambia Vice Chancellor football tournament.

According to Section 7 of the tournament rules, all teams must fulfil their scheduled matches but EDUSA team failed to turn up for their clash with Journalism Students’ Association.

The action of UTG Students Union is considered as unsportsmanlike and undermining the spirit of the competition.

The organisers of the tournament expect Education Students’ Association to settle their fine before their knockout match.
