Gunjur United slipped to Serrekunda United 1-0 before scuffling with Latrikunda United, who defeated Essau United 1-0.
The Coastal Town Boys and the Latrikunda German based-team required the maximum to improve their positions on the country’s Second Tier table.
Gunjur United dominated the entire match and created goal scoring chances.
Teen Omar Jabang alias Ozil opened the scores for Gunjur United in the 56th minute of the match, which eventually proved to be the winner for the Coastal Town Boys.
Latrikunda United responded back for an equaliser but to no avail thus the match ended 1-0 in favour of Gunjur United.
The victory earns Gunjur United 12th place on the country’s Second Tier table with 19 points.
Latrikunda United occupy bottom-place on the Second Division League table with 10 points after sixteen league matches.
