The development, which was unveiled earlier this week, follows discussions between the two bodies – Banjul Sports Committee and Trust Bank Limited.
The Bank has donated a sponsorship of D130, 000 to the Banjul Sports Committee for this year’s nawetan season.
According to the committee, all their discussions with Trust Bank were centered on how the bank could partner with them for the development of sports in Banjul.
Speaking during their sponsorship unveiling, Momodou Musa Njie, president of Banjul Sports Committee, highlighted the significant role the bank played in Banjul sports development over past two decades.
“The Bank has been involved in Banjul sports activities since the hay days of Wharf Bi Elminite Football Club as well as the sport committees of that time,” he said.
He assured the bank of his committee's commitment and visibility.
Njillan Senghore, managing director for Trust Bank Limited, emphasised on the visibility of her company and urged the committee to promote the bank's activities and services.
She also assured them of her bank’s unflinching support.
