Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the president of Serrekunda East Sports Organisation (SESDO), Momodou Y. Cham, stated that the inauguration of democracy pavilion at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium was a great achievement for the people of Serrekunda East.
Cham revealed that the inauguration of democracy pavilion was big achievement for the committee and stakeholders as well.
He noted that the achievement is also for people who sell tickets everyday under the hot sun, rain and people of democracy.
Cham urged people of Serrekunda East to take care of the new democracy pavilion.
Cham revealed that 1.5 million was spent on democracy pavilion.
Cham called on fans to continue coming to the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium and buy tickets so that they could start building another pavilion.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Manasi Construction, Omar Barrow, expressed delight with the quality of the work.
‘‘Our goal is to ensure that this pavilion is not only meet its functional needs of the community but also reflect as high standard of quality.
“This structure is carefully planned and would serve the community for years,” CEO Barrow said.
President of Democracy Pavilion, Alagie Touray, commended Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) for a job well done.
Touray revealed that the job is unprecedented in the history of sports in the country.
“We the people of Democracy are proud of the Serrekunda East Committee,” Touray said.
