Speaking at a press conference held at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium over the weekend, president of SESDO, Mdou Yusupha Cham, revealed that the Award Night and Gala Dinner is organised to recognize and honour previous executive committee members and distinguished individuals, who have contributed to sports development in Serrekunda East.
Cham stated that the event is also organised to celebrate and decorate athletes across all sporting disciplines for their dedication and achievements to generate revenue for SESDO in line with its sustainability and long-term development agenda.
He further stated that SESDO would award individuals and previous executive members for their efforts in promoting competitive sporting excellence.
Cham pointed out that awards night would feature football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling and martial arts.
He further pointed out that SESDO would give special award to partners and sponsors.
Cham also highlighted the upgrading of the Mini Stadium infrastructure through emerge innovations, strategic partnerships, financial discipline and sustainable practices.
