Serrekunda East, Kombo Central II sail to Women’s nawettan final

Serrekunda East female nawattan zonal team and Kombo Central II have both sailed to the final of the 2024 Women's nawettan’.
Serrekunda East defeated Lower Nuimi 1-0 in a tightly contested semi-final played at the Essau football field on Saturday.

Awa Faal scored for Serrekunda East in the 24th minute of the match from implausible strik

Lower Nuimi fought hard for an equaliser but were unable to penetrate the Serrekunda East’s solid defence line thus the match ended 1-0 in favour of Serrekunda East.
Kombo Central II defeated Lamin 4-2 on post-match penalty shootouts after normal time ended 1-1 at the Late SannaJatta Memorial Football field on Sunday to advance to the final.
Fatou Cham opened the scores for Lamin in the 33rd minute of the match.
Isatou Sanneh levelled matters for Kombo Central II in the stoppage time.This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 4-2 in favour of Kombo Central II.
Meanwhile, the date of the final is yet to be decided by the organisers of the nawettan.
