Sea View, Nema City progress to Sukuta Knockout Cup semis

Sea View, Nema City and Mariama Kunda have all progressed into the semifinals of the ongoing Sukuta Sports Committee nawetan Knockout Cup tournament following their respective wins over the weekend.

Sea View FC became the first team to book their place into the last four of the tournament after eliminating Real de Sanchaba thanks to a 5-3 post-match penalty shootout following a goalless draw in the regulation time during the first quarterfinal match played on Thursday.

Nema City continued their fine form in the ongoing nawetan after beating Sitba United 3-1 during the second quarterfinal game played on Friday.

Nema City opened the scoring through Musa Saidy in the 22nd minute of the match. Muhammed Kanteh leveled the game for Sitba United from the spot.

Yaya Njie’s brace in the 45+ 1 and 52nd minutes capped Nema City’s comfortable win and sealed their place in the semifinal of the tournament.

Mariama Kunda became the third team to qualify for the semifinal of the tournament after defeating Arabic School 2-0 during the third quarterfinal game played on Saturday.

Simon Mendy opened the scoring for Mariama Kunda in 24 minutes before Ebrima Bah doubled their lead in the 73rd minute.
