Sakajor wins Sanna Dahaba wrestling contest flag

Wrestler Sakajor of Club Jabang Mbolo has won the 2023 Sanna Dahaba wrestling contest flag after defeating Sai Sai of Club Serrekunda Mbolo in a grand combat held at the Serrekunda East Mini-Stadium on Sunday.

The grand combat was organised by Ala Promotion and named after Sanna Dahaba.

Both wrestlers took their time after referee’s first whistle.

Both wrestlers came into the contest with the motive of beating each other to lift the Sanna Dahaba wrestling contest flag.

The Jabang-based fighter gave a strong blow to his opponent to send the Serrekunda Mbolo fighter to the ground in a quick session.

Sakajor and his fans headed to Jabang in a jubilant mood after winning the flag named after Sanna Dahaba, director of National Disaster Management Agency.

In the earlier fights, Fire of Club Tallinding Japoo defeated Sapour of Club Ndungu Kebbeh.

Star FM of Club Sanchaba Ham Sa Chossan beat Boy Sanjal of Club Paradise Mbolo.

Modou Lowe of Club Latrikunda Mbolo defeated Serri Boy of Club Tallinding United.

Top 5 of Club Tallinding Mbolo won Ndimleh Dior of Club Bundung Nusrat.

Arobas of Club Bara won Tapha Tine of Club Mara through warnings.

The young Barra based-wrestler dominated the bout from the start to the finish.

He was awarded the victory through warnings.

Arobas had two warnings, while Tapha Tine had three.

Boy Jola of Jabang United beat Malick Nyang of Banjul Saku Ham Ham.

The Jabang-based fighters wrestled defeated the Banjul Saku Ham Ham fighter in an extraordinary fashion.

Rambo of club Bakau Gom Sa Bopa beat Bakh Yayi of Club Tysinger Family through a medical decision by the referees during a special combat.

The Bakau-based fighter was beaten by Bakh Yayi.

 According to the referee, the action was after he blew the whistle for the contest to stop.

The punch that knocked out Rambo, however, was declared an illegal blow leading to Rambo’s unconsciousness.

 The referee, in accordance with the rules, declared Rambo the winner of the bout.

The event was attended by thousands of wrestling enthusiasts including some high-profile dignitaries.
