Scorpions coach Tom Saintfiet said it was a huge risk for Gambian players who are plying their trades in Europe to participate in this forthcoming African Cup of Nations qualifier following the coronavirus outbreak on the continent.

Saintfiet told Capital FM Global Sports recently that there are some Gambian young players who were worried about the situation. He further stated that he is always in touch with his   players despite the coronavirus epidemic.

Saintfiet revealed that they can play their qualifier matches as soon as the pandemic ends, adding that there is a break between November and March where qualifiers can be played.

He encouraged Gambians to wash their hands regularly to prevent themselves from the coronavirus.
