Red scorpion maintain lead in Women’s League Division One

Reigning league champions, Red Scorpions have maintained their lead in the 2023-2024 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s League Division One after hammering City Girls 4-1 in their week-three outing played at Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Friday.

  Maimuna Dukureh, Fatoumatta Jammeh, Kaddy Jatta and Mariama Cham were on the score sheet for Red Scorpion in the 44th, 54th, 73rd and 77th respectively to earn the Jeshwang based-club the vital three points.

Nenneh Camara’s 9th minute strike only proved to be a consolation goal for City Girls.

The Red Scorpion girls are now four points clear at the top of the league standings with 9 points after three league matches.

 Future Bi drew goalless with Brikama United at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama to share the spoils.

BrikamaUnited now sit fourth on the league table with 5 points after winning one match and drawing two.

City Girls occupy sixth on the league table with 4 points, leveling with Future Bi.

 The Gambia Police Force defeated Immigration 2-1 in the all- security derby clash played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Saturday.

 

 The Police Ladies occupy third place on the league table with 7 points after three league matches.

Fatou Sonko scored a brace for The Gambia Police Force during the match.

The Gambia Police Girls won two matches and drew one.

 Isatou Tamba’s lone strike during the match only proved to be a consolation goal for Immigration.

 Berewuleng thrashed Koita FC 3-1 at the Live Your Dreams Sports in Basori.

Berewuleng occupy second on the league table with 7 points after winning two matches and drawing one.

Koita sit seventh on the league table with 3 points after winning one match and drawing two.

TMT Ladies drew goalless with The Gambia Armed Forces Ladies at the Bakau Mini Stadium.

TMT Ladies sit eighth-place with 1 point after three outings.

TMT FC were defeated in their two opening league matches before drawing with The Gambia Armed in their third league outing.

The GAF Ladies now sit ninth on the table, levelling points with TMT Ladies.

Immigration occupy bottom-place on the league table without a point after three matches.

In the Division Two League, Lower Nuimi defeated Mansawally 2-0 at the Soma Mini Stadium on Friday.

Kinteh’s thrashed debutants Darboe’s FC 3-0 at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in old Yundum on the same day.

Fortune hammered Trust FC 4-1at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in old Yundum on Saturday, while Jung Mama defeated Raptim 1-0 at Soma Mini Stadium.

 Yakarr thrashed Prisons 3-0 at the Bakau Mini Stadium on the same day

 Week-four fixtures of the Women’s League Division One are:

On Friday 8th December 2023, TMT Ladies will play against City Girls at Late Ousman Saho Football Field at 4pm.

Immigration will take on Koita at Bakau Mini Stadium at 4pm on the same day.

On Saturday 9th December 2023, Red Scorpion will battle it out with Future Bi at the Bakau Mini Stadium at 4pm.

Brikama United will lock horns with The Gambia Police Force at the Box Bar Mini Stadium at 4pm on the same day.

Sunday 10th December 2023, Gambia Armed Force Ladies will entertain Berewuleng at the Bakau Mini Stadium at 4pm.
