Coach Jatta was speaking to reporters shortly after his side’s 3-1 win over Banjul United in their week-18 game played at the King George 5 Mini Stadium in Banjul on Sunday.
Essa Jallow opened the scoring for Real de Banjul in the 27th minute of the match from the penalty spot before Edi Samba levelled matters for Banjul United in the 40th minute from the penalty spot.
Amadou Nyassi scored the second goal for Real de Banjul in the 49th minute of the match from a spectacular low drive shot, before substitute Muhammed Sosu netted the third goal in the 90th minute.
“As a coach, you need to have a concept and players understanding that concept is always very good for a team.”
‘‘Bringing the young ones into the team and motivating them is helping a lot,” coach Jatta said.
Coach Jatta expressed delight collecting the maximum point to extend their lead in the country’s Elite League.
He applauded his team for their wonderful performance against Banjul United.
According to coach Jatta, they are aiming for back-to-back league title this season.
Captain of Banjul United, Modou Njie , expressed delight over the performance but disappointed with the result, adding that Banjul defeated Real de Banjul 3-1 in the first round of the league campaign.
Njie, who guided the team during the first round, said they started struggling in the second round of the league season after losing five key players due to travelling and injuries.
He revealed that they are aiming to rectify their mistakes in their next match.
Meanwhile, Real de Banjul FC still occupy top-spot on the country’s Elite League table with 39 points, while Banjul United sit 10th place on the league table with 22 points.
