The award ceremony was aimed at honouring players and individuals for their magnificent contributions to the success of Berewuleng FC during the first round of the on-going Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women's League Division One.
Speaking at the ceremony, former President of Brikama Sports Committee (BSC), Victor Sambou, briefed the gathering of the significance of such initiatives. 6
Sambou lauded Berewuleng FC and her official partner Diamano Money Transfer for organising this historic event.
Sambou pointed out that Berewuleng FC are among the leading clubs in Gambian female football.
He thanked the management, staff, players and everyone connected to Berewuleng FC project.
Sambou also thanked Basiru Bajo, the management and staff of Berewuleng FC for organizing the award ceremony, adding that the ceremony would serve as an encouragement for the players.
He donated D10, 000 to Berewuleng female team.
The Management of Berewuleng expressed gratitude to Victor Sambou for his gesture and motivation.
Captain of Berewuleng FC, Kumba Kassama, expressed gratitude to the management of the team for the award ceremony, adding that such initiatives are aimed at encouraging players.
She thanked the President of Berewuleng FC, the coaching staff and her teammates for their commitment during the first round of the league campaign.
Kassama assured the Berewuleng FC management that they would deliver to expectations.
"We are determined and hungry and we will fight to register more success,’’Kassama said.
