Elizabeth Neneh Bahoum was developed by a Peace Corp Volunteer named Miss Venker at Banjul's Saint Joseph's High School where she rose to be the best Point Guard in Gambian basketball.

First, a founding member of Saints Basketball Club alongside the best female that ever played the game, Marie Louis Mendy, the best shooting guard ever, the fearless Oumie Andrews, Binta Daffeh, Dado Jah, Fatou Krubally, Annet Owens and Michelle Pulo Joof.

She led the young Saints teams to many championships before jumping ship to join her Half Die team, Dingareh. As a point guard, Eli was the best ball handler I have ever seen in female basketball in The Gambia. She was fearless and penetrated defences as it were knife through butter. She was the starting Point Guard for The Gambia National Team and I can recall her great performance in Bamako, Mali which brought the mighty ASEC of the Cote D'Ivoire calling for her services.

At Dingareh basketball and Banjul South she was the fearless captain that led them to many championships. She was a beauty to watch at her craft. She left all she had at the Banjul Tennis Lawn on a nightly basis. In all the stardom, Neneh was as humbled as there ever was. She belongs to the Gambian Hall of Fame for her valuable contribution to the development of the game. It was an honor and a privilege to cover her both in and out of The Gambia. No one, did it better. Neneh Bahoum, is by far one of the best Point Guards there ever was. Thanks for all the heroics and memories.
