The Sateyba boys won the West Coast Region Super Cup trophy last year after thrashing Gunjur 3-0 in a well-attended final played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.
Brikama, who slipped to Sanyang 4-3 in the West Coast Region football tournament final the year before, opened the scores through wing wizard Baboucarr Sanneh alias Morata in the 3rd minute from an astonishing finish.
Sanyang reacted quickly for an equaliser and created several goal scoring opportunities.
Captain Modou Jadama could have leveled the scores for Sanyang in the 8th minute but his shot went wide.
Lamin Saidy could have also leveled matters for Sanyang in the 34th minute from the penalty spot but his shot was denied by the stand bar thus the first half ended 1-0 in favour of Brikama.
Upon resumption of the match, Brikama maintained their supremacy over Sanyang and crafted some goal scoring opportunities.
Substitute Lamin Bojang scored the second goal for Brikama in the 55th minute from a towering header.
Sanyang fought hard for an equaliser but to no avail thus the match ended 2-0 in favour of Brikama.
As champions, Brikama went home with medals, a giant trophy and a cash prize of D15, 000 while Sanyang received medals and D10, 000 as runners up.
