Jarra West record massive win, BST Galaxy lose again in 2nd Division League

Jarra West have recorded their biggest win of the season, while BST Galaxy FC lost again in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League week 23 fixtures played on Sunday.

Jarra West thrashed Kuteh Jumbulu 6-0 during a game played at the Soma Mini-Stadium

Buba Darboe opened the scoring for Jarra West in the early 6th minute, before Baboucarr Kandeh and Musa Ceesay scored braces in the second period.

The win was Jarra West’s 5th win of the league, while the defeat was Kuteh Jumbulu 15th defeats of the season.

Jarra West now registered two wins in five matches, now occupy 15th position on the league table with 24 points.

The defeat was Kuteh Jumbulu’s four straight defeats.

They maintain bottom-place (18th) position on the league table with 13 points after 22 league matches.

BST Galaxy were beaten 2-1 by Elite United in a game played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Academy in Basori.

Elite United scored their goals through Ebrima Jagne’s brace in the early 7th and 38th minutes, while Muhammed Hydara scored BST Galay’s goal in the 83rd minute.

Elite United collected their eleventh victory of the league, while BST Galaxy suffered their sixth defeat of the season.

Elite United, who won two in their last five games, occupy 3rd position on the league table with 40 points.

BST Galaxy suffered third defeats in their last five matches.

They sit 4th position on the league table with 36 points, levelling with GPA.

Jam City lost to Hart FC 3-1 in a game played at the Box Bar Mini-Stadium in Brikama.

Alagie Saidy opened the scoring for Hart FC in the 24th minute of the match before Zakaria Dampha and Saikouba Jarju extended their lead in the 52nd and 54th minutes respectively.

Gibriel Jarju scored the only consolation goal for Jam City in the 90+4 minute.

The Jambanjelly-based team recorded their 9th victory of the league, while Hart FC suffered eighth defeat of the league.

The win moved Jam City to 7th position with 34 points, levelling with Bombada FC after also registering 7 draws and 6 defeats in 22 league games, while the LRR-based team dropped to 11th position with 28 points after securing 7 wins and 7 draws in 22 league games.    

Bombada FC beat the Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) 1-0 at the KG5 Mini-Stadium in Banjul.

Lamin Sambou scored for Bombada in the 18th minute of the match.

The Brikama-based team, Bombada registered their ninth win of the league, while The Gambia Ports Authority suffered their seventh defeats of the season.

Bombada FC recorded four wins in five matches.

Bombada now moved to 6th position with 34 points, leveling with Jam City.

The Gambia Ports Authority maintain 5th position on the league table with 36 points, levelling with BST Galaxy after recording 10 wins and 6 draws in 23 league games.
