The King of the Gambian wrestling Arena, Hoyontan has again defeated France in their second thrilling fight in what the referees described as four contacts (this is when both hands and knees feel on the ground at the same time during the fight).

The bout again staged by the same promoter, Alagie Morr Jobe of Ala Promotion and with five other fights was held at the Serrekunda East Mini-Stadium.

This is the second fight organised by Ala Promotion for both wrestlers with Hoyontan of Club Ndongo Ceesay based in Kunkung earlier defeating France of Banjul Saku Ham Ham on referee’s decision on 6 May 2018.

The result of the fight saw the Kukujang-based wrestler declare his superiority over the Banjul-based wrestler.

Wrestler Hoyontan and his fans went home celebrating with the flag named after Bakary Badjie, minister of Youth and Sports, who is also contesting for the KMC Mayoral seat.

The result, which left the Banjul-based wrestler’s fans disappointed, also made the Kukujang-based wrestler declare superiority over France after winning two contests in a row.

Meanwhile, in the earlier bouts, Police Boy of Club Feke Masi Boleh beat Laptop of Club Sanchaba Ham SaChossan.

Fire of Club Tallinding Japoo wrestled down Rasta of Club Yundum Mbolo.

Arobas of Club Bara beat Jobis of Club Ebo Town Mbolo, while Buwassor of Club Nema Mbolo defeated Buwassor of Club Bundung Dorr Dorat.

Boy Jola of Club Jabang Mbolo defeated Modou Gadai of New Yundum Mbolo, while Hoyontan of Club Ndongo Ceesay beat France of Club Banjul Saku Ham Ham.

The event was attended by wrestling enthusiasts including Minister Bakary Y. Badjie.
