Modou Lamin Ceesay gave Kabafita United the lead in the 33rd minute but Jaliba United restored parity through a lame shot by substitute Kamburama Jaiteh in the 76th minute to force the game to post-match penalty shootouts.
As winners, the Kora Boys, Jaliba United went home with a giant trophy and a cash prize of D15,000 while Kabafita United pocketed home D10,000 as a consolation prize.
Meanwhile, Jaliba United captain and midfield maestro Ebrima Sillah was awarded as The Man of The Match by the Brikama Sports Committee (BSC).
EB Sillah as he is fondly called, was the one pulling the strings in midfield for the Kora Boys. He dazzled in the midfield throughout the encounter.
Jaliba United have now won three major trophies within a year. They first won a double (league and knockout tournaments) in last season’s Brikama nawetan.
They also won the Africell Cup Winners Cup tournament before winning the Super Cup tournament.
