The NCC is planning to stage a mega fund raising show with Gambian rappers to generate enough funds for the country’s participation in the continent’s bi-annual biggest football jamboree.
The NCC is also planning to organise a gala dinner to raise more funds for the Gambia’s participation in the 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations.
The NCC stated that The Gambia senior national team will visit State House to receive battle flag from President Adama Barrow before they travel to Ivory Coast for the 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations.
‘‘We are organising a sendoff for The Gambia national team before they travel to Ivory Coast for the continent’s bi-annual biggest football fiesta,’’the NCC said.
Meanwhile, The Gambia is in Group C of the 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations alongside Cameroon, Senegal and Guinea Conakry.
The Scorpions will open its 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations account against Senegal on 15th January 2024.
The Gambia will rub shoulders with Guinea Conakry in their second group match on 18th January 2024 before locking horns with Cameroon in their third and final group match on 23 rd January 2024.
