The Gambia finishes 4th position out of 13 countries from the sub-regional championship after losing in the semifinal to eventual winner, Niger.
The Smiling Coast wrestlers also won a trophy and gold in the 100kg and silver in the 66kg.
The Gambia Wrestling team under the guidance of Coach Pap Senghore put up a respectable performance throughout the tournament.

86kg- Mboran (Quarter Final)
100kg- Arobas (Gold)
120kg- Africanuwar (4th Place)
The Gambia Wrestlers were accompanied to the championship by Coach Pap Senghore; Alagie Abdoulie Bojang, desk officer for Wrestling at the National Sports Council; Ousman Njai, vice president of the Gambia Wrestling Association and Jawara Ngum, Team Physio.
