Gambia to begin AFCON campaign against Mauritania on Jan. 12

The Gambia senior national team is set to begin its 2022 Africa Cup of Nations campaign against Mauritania on 12 January 2022 at 5 pm.


The Scorpions will clash with Mali in their second match on  16 January 2021 at 8 pm before rubbing shoulders with Tunisia in their third match on 20 January 2021 at 8 pm.

The Gambia will contend to win their matches to sail to the second round of the continent’s biennial biggest football showpiece.

The Scorpions secured qualification to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations after finishing top-spot in Group D of the continent’s once in two years fiesta qualifiers with 10 points after six group matches.
