Gambia U-18 beach volleyball team to camp in Qatar prior to World beach championship

The Gambia Volleyball Boys and Girls teams are set to camp in Qatar for a one month training camp following an agreement between the two countries.

The team will be training in Qatar before the start of the FIVB U-18 volleyball championship.

The Gambia are crowned champions of the just concluded CAVB U-18 Beach Volleyball Continental Championship in Abuja, Ivory Coast.

The Gambia U18 teams (boys and girls) will use their Qatar training to prepare themselves set for  the FIVB U-18 World Beach Volleyball Championship to be held in Doha  from 7th to11 October 2025.
This development was facilitated by The Gambia Volleyball Federation through cooperation with Qatar Volleyball Association.
Qatar Volleyball Federation and The Gambia Volleyball Federation will jointly fund the camp heading to the championship.
President of The Gambia Volleyball Federation, Bai Dodou Jallow, who facilitated the cooperation, reaffirmed his federation's continued support and commitment to the development of volleyball in The Gambia.
''This is another huge development. We would take every advantage to provide a good preparation for the team”, Jallow said.
The Gambian team is expected to leave Banjul before September 10th 2025.
