Secretary General of GNOC, Yorro Njie, thanked the government for funding the trip.
Njie conveyed the NOC appreciation to the government through the Ministry of Youth and Sport.
President of GNOC, Bai Dodou Jallow, reminded the athletes they were there to represent more than two million people, describing it as a huge responsibility that must be taken as advantage to bring results.
Jallow thanked the government under the leadership of President Adama Barrow for funding the trip. He encouraged the athletes to be disciplined, work hard and win medals.
