BST Galaxy win in Gambian Premier

Bubacarr Steve Trawally’s (BST) Galaxy FC have recorded their third victory of the season during their week-seven fixtures of the Gambian Premier League played over the weekend.

BST Galaxy defeated the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) 1-0 during their week-seven fixtures of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Saturday.

Ansumana Gomez scored the only goal in the match for BST after a superb free kick in the second period.

The victory made it third for the newly promoted side (BST Galaxy), while the Soldiers, GAF now suffered their fourth loss of the league.

BST, who also conceded two draws and suffered two defeats now moved to 5th position with 11 points, while the Khaki Boys drop to 14th position with 5 points in seven encounters.

Earlier, Falcons FC were held to a barren goalless draw by Today Makes Tomorrow (TMT) FC during an Abuko-derby game played at the Serrekunda East Park on Friday.

The Blue Army, Falcons FC have now been forced to their first draw of the season, while the newly promoted team, TMT FC conceded their third draw of the league.

Falcons FC overall gathered three wins, one draw and suffered three defeats in seven games, while TMT FC overall registered one win, three draws and suffered  three losses in  seven matches.

The draw put Falcons on 6th position with 10 points, while TMT FC sit 13th position with 6 points.
