Lamin Sarr, BST Galaxy Football Club’s striker has said that his aim and ambition this season is to finish as the leading goal-scorer in The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League.

Lamin Sarr scored BST Galaxy FC’s second goal after Modou Keita’s opener in their 2-0 win over Latrikunda United during their week-2 fixtures of the GFF Second Division League played at the Bakau Mini Stadium on Wednesday.

Striker Lamin Sarr has now scored in BST Galaxy FC’s opening two fixtures in the ongoing season. He first scored the only goal of the match during their (BST Galaxy) 1-0 win over Kanifing East before scoring against Latrikunda United.

“My aim this season is to score at lease a goal every game I play or to be involved in our every goal every match,” said Sarr.

He expressed delight for scoring in his side's opening two fixtures, while thanking his coaches.

“The coaching department always calls us (the strikers) to inspire us. They also coach and train us on how to score goals. These are things motivating us,” he said.

Striker Lamin Sarr started his career with Jarra West FC, where he scored 14 goals and became the third leading goal-scorer. He later joined Dibba Oil (now BST Galaxy FC) and scored 17 goals and finished as the fourth leading goal-scorer last season.

“This season I want to continue scoring goals because my aim is to finish as leading top-scorer. I also want to be involved in every goal of my team.”
