This development coordinated by Sadibou Kamaso came following recent trails organised by Sportlex Agency.
The players, who left the country for Turkey are Alagie Cherno Jobe, Chrno Saho, Ahmed Tijan Savage, Omar Badjie, Sulayman Jallow and Omar Ceesay respectively.
The trials held in The Gambia were highly competitive with many talented players participating, but the six players stood out as they impressed coaches and scouts with their skills and potentials.
It is expected that they will have the opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of a large audience and potentially to make significant impact in the football world.
“We were supposed to take about 10 players but due to issues with some of the players’ documents, we are only able to take 6 players,” Kamaso told reporters at the airport before their departure.
According to him, two of the six players will sign permanent deals due to their age, adding that the rest of the players will have trials to be reevaluated by scouts again.
“The scouts were happy with their performances went they came into the country which is why they want to see them again.”
He described the development as a milestone, adding that Fenerbahçe is a big team.
Mr. Kamaso called on all Gambians to pray for all the six players going for trials in Turkey, adding that if they all succeed, they will represent The Gambia and wear the colors of the country in future.
