
In an interview with this reporter, Hawa expressed her concerns, stating: “As a single mother of one who has been involved in the poultry business for some time, I am struggling with the high cost of feed, which is significantly impacting my operations.”
The rising costs of poultry feeds, she said, is making it increasingly challenging for her to obtain the necessary amount to buy feed, saying: “A bag of poultry feed used to sell for 1000, which would last barely a week; now it's priced at 2400.”
She disclosed that she owns more than 100 chickens, mentioning that feeding them at times is always a challenging ordeal for her.
“Therefore, I am reaching out for support from philanthropists, individuals, government entities, and NGOs, as I am currently unemployed. This business represents the sole source of income for me and my family, and your assistance would make a significant difference in our lives,” she appealed.
