Councilor of Gunjur Ward in Limbo South has written an open letter to President Adama Barrow, urging him to ensure that he fulfils his election promises.

Momodou Charreh Jibba said the National Development Plan (NDP) has raised the hopes of Gambians but since the initiation of the plan, nothing has happened.

He said President Barrow has promised to transform the Brikama District Hospital into a general hospital but the health facility's status still remains the same, adding that the condition of the facility is unbearable and heartbreaking.

Councilor Jibba also observed that President Barrow has promised to settle land disputes in Kombo South and nothing had happened about that one too, making reference of the killing of Buba Jammeh in Gunjur and the Berending land dispute last year.

‘‘The Chinese Fish Meal Companies situated along the coast of Kombo South are producing bad smell which is very dangerous to the health of the people residing in Kombo South. Nothing is done about that one too," Jibba said.

He said the activities of the fish meal companies are attracting huge influx of undocumented foreign youth and increase in crime rate and burglary in Kombo South.

He added that police stations in Kombo South are executing their duties effectively but lack of vehicles is making their work difficult.
