
The road, which will connect Gunjur fish landing site to the main highway, is viewed by many as a vital stretch, not only for the people of Gunjur, but people of Kombo South and Gambia generally.
Once completed, it would significantly boost infrastructural development and sustainable economic growth for Gunjur and its satellite villages.
Meanwhile, the Government of The Gambia has awarded the Gunjur beach road construction project contract to Green Vision International.
Showing appreciation over this road project, the residents of Gunjur expressed their excitement and appreciation for the project as a transformation and development of the road. They recognise it as a major step forward for the community.
For his part, Ebrima Sillah, minister for Works and Infrastructure, expressed delight in inspecting ongoing construction works in that coastal settlement.
During the tour, Minister Sillah also visited Gunjur Development Association (GDA) Multipurpose Centre construction project site.
